Product Description Legions of readers entranced by Twilight are hungry for more and they won't be disappointed. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

Nice read January 6, 2009 A very good book. Unlike "Twilight" the conflict and resolution in this story is small and a bit anticlimactic but the story is well written and a necessary catalyst for the following two installments in the series.
about the book January 6, 2009 This book is an amazing book. I love the Twilight Series. with out giving anything away, this book is sad, but as well as makes u happy. its a emotional roller coaster kind of book. The only problem with the book is some parts are slow and dragged out longer then necessary. but its still wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend these books.
New Moon January 6, 2009 Excellent book carried the story forward, character development great. You get a feeling that you know and care about the characters. I enjoyed the book and would recomend it to anyone that likes good solid story lines.
Good, but Twilight is better January 6, 2009 Of the 4 in the series, this is my least favorite, but you have to read it to get to the best book of them all - #4 Breaking Dawn.
Twilight - MOM Addict - Needs to stop reading and get some sleep January 6, 2009 I am addicted to this series. There I admitted it out loud. I have read all of the books, including the Stephanie Meyer's online version of Edward's view of the beginning of Book 1: Twilight. I am on my second time of reading the series straight through. I will have to admit the second book: New Moon is not my favorite of the series, and you really need to start with Book 1: Twilight. However, if you have one romantic bone in your body, you will be enthralled with the series and all of the books. They should come with a WARNING label for lack of sleep! It would read something like, "Do not operate heavy machinery while reading this series because you will stay up way to late trying to finish them!" Even for the second time, I couldn't put the book down.
This one is the saddest of the four books - but typically the second in any series turns into conflict. At times, I did get tired of hearing Bella whine ... However, I think anyone who has had a first love that went awry can relate. Honestly, even reading the Reviews of those who didn't like it - the reviewer went into detail about the books at length - so to me that says something.
So, all of you hopeless romantics out there - ENJOY!!! And believe me you will! Finally, when my husband asked why I liked them so much - I told him they remind me of when we fell in love (which was love at first sight!) - except he's not a vampire and my best friend is not a werewolf!
