Exactly like I imagined. Perfect size (not too big, not too small)
for my 8 year old son, great for traveling. Magnetics work great.

My 2 girls are just learning chess. This was the perfect set -- the magnetic pieces don't get lost or fall off, even when we're playing outside. It's the right size too, and easy to pack up and store -- no need for a box, since the pieces fit right inside the board. Love it!
