Product Description
Forget everything you thought you knew about UNO! Clockwise? Counterclockwise? Nope; it's totally random! This exciting electronic version selects who's next, so you have to stay alert. Did you blink? Uh-oh, you missed your turn and time ran out! It's the fast, crazy game that will keep you guessing, on your toes and raring to go. And just when you think you can relax and take a breath, you still need to remember to yell "UNO!" Requires 3 "AA" batteries, included.

5 out of 5 stars Fast paced fun!   January 5, 2009
My kids (9 and 7) can't get enough of this game. It's great for me too since I don't have to try and remember who's turn it is since you are randomly selected. We have all the variations of Uno and this is by far our favorite!

5 out of 5 stars Uno Flash is so much fun   January 4, 2009
UNO Flash Game
This game keeps everyone on their toes. You have to have fast reflexes and it is fun to have several different ways to play the same game. The price was reasonable for a brand new and electronic game. It is durable and the batteries last a long time.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Uno Game   January 3, 2009
I was able to order this from Amazon for a fantastic price during Thanksgiving 2008. It was a Christmas gift for our kids (6 yr old boy and 8 yr old girl). It is so much more fun than regular Uno. You really have to pay attention. Everyone in the family loves it. Highly recommended. I hope they sell replacement cards, though. I think ours will get torn up quickly from all the fast paced action!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Fast-Moving Game   December 29, 2008
This game keeps your awareness level at high at all times. Fast moving game. Played game with both my children and my parents at the same time. Everyone enjoyed. Up to 6 people can play at one time.UNO Flash Game

4 out of 5 stars Hyperactive Uno   December 25, 2008
"Uno Flash" is a fun new way to play Uno and I think it holds up the Uno tradition pretty well. They have removed the strategy elements of the game and replaced them with speed elements, but it still feels like "Uno."

The game has two timed modes and a non-timed mode. You can set it to give players four seconds, six seconds, or unlimited time to make their play each turn. The standard rules of Uno apply to the cards played, but your play must be made within the specified time. If you do not complete your play and press your player button before the time runs out, a buzzer will sound and you must draw two cards. This can get a bit more hectic than you might think, actually, but it is pretty fun.

You can no longer hold on to draw 2 or 4 cards and unleash them on your unwitting victim after strategically reversing play as you can in Uno. The computer chooses the order of play randomly and whoever comes up next in the draw gets whatever card you play. With this in mind, there are no "reverse" cards in the deck.

Instead of "reverse" cards, they have added "slap" cards. When you play a "slap" card, you press the "slap button" instead of your player button and then all the other players race to press their player button first. The last player to press their player button has to draw two cards. There are only eight "slap" cards in the deck, so these don't come up frequently.

Scoring works like standard Uno:

Number cards = face value
Draw Two cards = 20 points
Skip cards = 20 points
Slap cards = 20 points
wild Draw Four cards = 50 points
Wild cards = 50 points

You add up the points in everyone's hand after the game and go to 500 for the win.

The game takes three AA batteries, but I haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life. There are lots of sounds and lots of flashing lights, so I would imagine that the batteries won't last terribly long, but this is just speculation. The manual says to change the batteries when the lights dim or the sound distorts, so that's what I'll be watching for. I will try to remember to update this review with battery life.

Other than the noted changes, the game plays just like standard Uno. The only thing I really miss is the strategy element, but you can't really have that with random play, so it is fine with me. It might take me a while to get used to it, but I can tell that it will be a fun game. I would recommend playing it with four or more players.
