Product Description The Pad lights up with LED lights when you play!! This is the least expensive pad of excellent quality out there. It is a soft pad and can be folded. But you really should remember to fold it in thirds so the stepping areas don't get creased. A cushy carpet combined with the softness of the pad does NOT negatively affect the sensitivity of the controller.

Non-slip dance pad review December 28, 2008 I wanted to write this review for those looking specifically for non-slip dance pads as it was something that might have changed my purchasing choice to just the regular pads (for less $$). The only thing sold with these pads to make them 'non-slip' is 4, 2" foam tape disks to put on each corner. They are double sided sticky tape so the non-slip feature works by literally sticking the mat to the floor with the foam tape. Not really the non-slip feature I thought I was buying. That being said, the product appears to work as advertised with the DDR game we purchased - though it is new so I have no knowledge as to how well it will work over time with more use.
Fine for most people January 14, 2008 Our kids use the pad and love it, and while it would be good to be a bit grippier on the bottom, it's not too bad. I just wish it were bigger, since my size 13 feet keep registering false positives when I'm standing in the middle.
Horrendous Pad June 8, 2007 This pad is really a piece of crud. right out of the box it had a strange smell. it also crackles when you step on it. it makes a sound like tissue paper being stepped on. it also doesnt have very good stability at all. its recommended that if you do use it, to be able to attach it to a piece of wood (plywood is good) and then staple and tape it onto that. even better if you can get a piece of plastic over the top and padding underneath. not recommended unless you will modify it.
It is fun... May 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this & the software to get some exercise without having to go outside my place. At over 110 degrees + in the summer months in Arizona...hard to do anything outside.
It is certainly fun & I enjoyed it...except for 1 thing. If you want to use this & haven't exercised in a while...take it very easy & slow. I hurt my foot while using it & should've taken it more easy. Am planning to get back to using it soon & will take it slower & easier. Getting past this...you will lose weight & get exercise after just a few minutes.
Even if you are in great shape...make sure you learn how to do the moves. Not being that coordinated...I would never try this out in public. Not sure if people would cry or laugh.
video game that gets you on your feet! December 31, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The vast majority of DDR games for PS1//PS2 are very good. The PS2 games have better graphics but they're also much more expensive. The mats featured here work well for beginners... you just have to be careful that you don't stomp overly hard on them; the sensors tend not to like it. As long as you treat the mat with care it works very well. For beginners and intermediate players this mat is wonderful. If you've played DDR (any version) before, you should consider purchasing a mat with foam inserts... they tend to be more touch sensitive and hold up a bit longer. They cost a bit more but for the more "extreme" player they're deffinately worth it. I have one foam mat for my own personal use (I play a lot) and two of the regular mats for when family or guests want to play. They've held up very well, but I can see more wear on them than on my foam mat. Wonderful product overall.
