Finally, one I can finish December 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the first time in about two years, I was able to finish one of these games. There are no puzzles in here that require you to attempt them 80 zillion times in the hope that you might luck out once and be able to continue the game. No sneaking past guards (thank GOD!), no spraying for bees, and no fox and geese. Best of all, you don't have to out-fight, out-run, or come up with some counterintuitive scheme for escaping the bad guys that requires randomly clicking on everything in sight hoping you luck out again.
This game flowed nicely and was mostly cerebral. The drum puzzle is annoying, but you can't have everything; not if you like adventure games anyway. You can get arcades without a plot, but you can't get plot games without arcades somewhere.
Best in Series so far December 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A long awaited for brilliant game by Her Interactive. After many unsuccessful games, this Nancy Drew title has finally brought back what was so easy to love about the series when it first started. The plot is undeniably intriguing with ingenious twists. It is filled with mystery that makes sense. The graphics are beautiful like always. The characters are well-developed although there are few. The puzzles make sense and are challenging yet not impossible.
As Nancy Drew, you go the gorgeous countryside of Ireland to attend a family-friend's wedding. Like always, Nancy's vacation quickly turns into another mystery when the groom goes missing. Will the wedding go on as planned or is this marriage doomed from the beginning? Uncover secrets both of past and present for an exciting adventure.
Typical Nancy Drew December 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Some of the timed mini-games are very difficult without gaming mouse, but still very enjoyable.
Fun, but doesn't live up to the others November 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
fisrt of all, let me start by saying the Nancy Drew games are awesome. however, this game was a bit boring for me; not as exciting as the others. although there was some mystery, it didn't do a whole heck of a lot. in other words, it was good, but not great like the other ones. a bit too short, in my opinion.
As usual another Her interactive success! November 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I enjoy the fact that the Nancy Drew games appeal to all ages and sexes. I even got my older brother interested in them. I Play them with my grandchildren and it has been a real bonding experience, I am 54 years old and my grandchildren are 10 and 7. I also appreciate the fact that they are full of learning tools, not just fun and games. I enjoy the fact that they are based in different places around the world which gives you an incite to other places and people, my grandson even trys to copy the accents of the different characters. This one, based in Ireland is especially special to me because my ancesters came from Ireland. My great, great grandfather came to America on ship. I hope you continue to handle games of this nature and keep the violence, cussing, and sleeziness out of childplay. Children and Adults deserve wholesome and relaxing enjoyment. I am even thinking of trying the Hardy boys and Sherlock Holmes games you have in stock. Thank You. R Pitts
